rico accordion seems to kill any prototype ajax updater call

As soon as i integrated the rico accordion behavior into my page, all
prototype ajax updater calls do not work.

has anyone else seen this?

i've included prototype.js and rico.js on the same page.  I'm using
Firebug in Firefox 2.0 (mac), but no errors/warnings are being logged to
the javascript console.  It just seems to pass right over the ajax
updater call.

need help.  thanks in advance

rico.js(accordion) 1.1.2 & prototype.js(updater) 1.5.0  .... NG
rico.js(accordion) 1.1.2 & prototype.js(updater) 1.4.0  .... OK

Accordion doesn't function in Firefox version 2.0.0.12 under 
prototype.js 1.6.0, rico 2.0 rc1.
